"I am a proud, Native Texan and a United States Air Force veteran. My professional career spans sophisticated technology, energy and nuclear power. I have had the fortune of living in Colorado, Arizona, Australia, Singapore and many places that for security purposes, I cannot share.

In the Air Force, my responsibilities spanned encrypted technology systems, electrical engineering and quality assurance. Other than confirming I was in the Air Force and my general responsibilities, there is not much more I can share. After completing my military career, I joined PPG.

 PPG’s vast network led me to assignments in Louisiana, Colorado and Arizona. As with most of my military career, majority of my assignments and specific locations cannot be disclosed. An exception with PPG was supporting the Palo Verde Nuclear Power Plant west of Phoenix. Palo Verde is the largest nuclear plant in the US. Arizona was a great place to live and work!

I then joined Anheuser Busch in Fort Collins, Colorado. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed living and working in the Rockies. Our dogs became mountain dogs. As an additional “fringe” benefit, if you work for Anheuser Busch, almost everyone wants to be your friend!

Texas was calling to us and ExxonMobil provided an opportunity to return to Houston and to re-enter the energy sector. During my ExxonMobil tenure, I was provided the opportunity to work in Singapore! Singapore, is an island city-state just off southern Malaysia. It is a global financial center with a multicultural population. In many ways, similar to Houston! It was a tremendous experience!

In 2013, I retired from ExxonMobil; however, just 3 months into retirement, the phone rang again. Chevron needed me in Western Australia. Experiencing life in Australia was truly amazing. The people and culture share many similarities with Texas!

The final phase of my second career was a return to Houston with ExxonMobil. I supported instrumentation quality assurance for the North American Growth Project. This project was a multi-billion dollar expansion in Baytown and the largest ExxonMobil investment in the US. I am very proud of the successful deployment of technologies that exceeded the most stringent safety standards known in the industry and commonly referred to as “Best Available Control Technology.”

I started my real estate career with an Austin firm. Then I discovered Southwest Partners. It is the fit I have been looking for. My office is in Llano, TX where I live in the Heart of the Hill Country on my small ranch with my wife, two longhorns, chickens, a dog, cat, and lots of deer!
